OFCA held the first of their proposed annual forums on 22nd May at The Holiday Inn Oxford.
There were four speakers:
Jackie Giles, foster service manager who gave an update on the new initiatives in fostering.
Michelle Johnson headteacher of The Virtual School explained how the help foster children and their education.
Kay Lane gave tax advice particular to foster carers.
Stuart Parry of the GMB spoke about how they give a voice for fostering nationally.
There was then a question and answer panel involving the speakers who took a wide variety of questions from the foster carers.
There was also an array of stands relevant to fostering and member of the fostering team on hand to answer specific questions.
It was a well attended and informative night enjoyed by all .
